Senior Quality Control Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Establish project quality-management-system requirements and represent the site organisation on quality matters.
• Structure and implement the project quality system in line with contract requirements and Atrium procedures.
• Prepare project quality plans, procedures and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Audit and monitor the quality-management system and lead corrective actions and improvements.
• Evaluate the quality performance of contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Develop quality-system training for project personnel and participate in project-management meetings.
• Coordinate quality-control engineers and inspectors and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and specifications.
• Issue weekly and monthly quality reports and review subcontractor and supplier close-out documentation.
• Inspect delivered materials and equipment and issue NCRs for non-compliance where required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; postgraduate study is an advantage.
• Very good English and Arabic reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office and very good use of internet tools and browsers.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Six Sigma approach is preferred.
• Very good communication, coordination, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Very good quality-control analysis, attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
